An allegory of political oppression under Franco, with a plot alternating between narrative sequences and dream-like moments styled after the Spanish avant garde. Padrós employs a range of musical forms including opera, scores, and choreography to underscore a plot featuring a group of dropouts living in a junkyard who try to re-integrate with "The System" as represented by a party.

While his parents are away for the summer, 16-year-old Dani invites his best friend, the irrepressible Nico, to stay for the holidays. Jealously rears its head when Nico appears more interested in the local girls than in Dani. Hot summer nights and too many joints lead to experimentation which neither boy can talk about, a situation complicated by the appearance of the older and openly gay Julián, a published writer and old friend of Dani’s father.

The pornstar Sophie Evans has disappeared. Everything points to her husband Yago, a porn film director with the air of an artist. A film thriller within a film, meta-cinema raised to the nth degree with faces from the X-film industry.

Victor finds his wife, Virginia, in bed with another man. Virginia is dead, and the two men decide to lie so as not to tarnish the memory of the deceased. The lover will disappear, and Victor will declare that Virginia died by his side. But the game of falsehoods will become complicated. Nothing will go as planned, and a new woman will appear who will make both of them lose their heads.

A humorously distorted version of the life of Shirley Temple, and described by its director as a terrorist musical. Shirley Temple sets off for the Emerald City to tell the Wizard that she is upset that Judy Garland has been selected for the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. On this trip she is accompanied by a group of characters who make reference to a fragmented, bipolar society. The film was begun as Franco was ill and completed after his death, and makes reference to the oppression of Spain during this period.
