Eli is a burglar who is caught in the act by Twinkle, an heiress who coerces him into a sexual relationship. Their violent break-up makes him a fugitive in search of a new identity. He lands in a trashy trailer park where he touches the lives of several dysfunctional residents.

Hillary and Bonnie meet one morning by the side of the road. They become fast friends, share their secrets, and, on a rising wave of frenzy, later that afternoon, murder an old woman. They did it, they say later, for fun.

After his frustrated wife abruptly walks out on him, Stuart Bliss, a wizard at inventing campaigns for surplus military materials, believes he's catching the warning of a coming apocalypse. Descending into paranoia, he then begins to perceive every subtle change in his office as a sign of intrusion, imagining that he's being watched and possibly polluted with a contaminated substance.

1994 yılında ER yayına başladığında televizyon tarihinin geri dönülmez evrelerinden biri de başladı. Gösterime girdiği ilk sezon ABD’de tüm reytingleri alt üst eden dizi daha önceki hastane dizilerinin başaramadığını başararak türe yepyeni bir atılım getirdi. Chicago’da bir hastanenin acil servisini her yönüyle ekrana taşıyan ER’ın hikayeleri öncelikle doktorlar, hemşireler, tıp öğrencileri ve diğer hastane personeli üzerine yoğunlaşıyor. İkincil öykü çıkış noktası ise hastaların yaşadığı problemler.
