Women are being sent to an all male settlement. The marriages are planned in advance, but not everything goes according to plan.

In hell, equipped with the latest technological advances, the devils watch the happiness of a Viennese revue singer and her sculptor fiancé on a television screen. Some representatives are sent to Earth to seduce the singer and thus undermine the couple's love, but this soon leads to rebellion among the devilish emissaries, who want to emigrate.

In 1900, the pianist Radofsky seduces singer Anni in Vienna. Twenty years later, he runs into her again … with her daughter.

Vienna around 1900. Karl Hofeneder, owner of a dance school, puts great importance on teaching his students not only the right steps but also good behavior. Twenty years ago, the bachelor lost the love of his life to his friend and competitor Georges Roublée. The two have been enemies ever since. Hofeneder is annoyed when he finds out that Roublée wants to open a second dance school locally.

Only after his departure the next day Christa learns about Hans' reputation as a Don Juan. In fear that she'll lose him to another woman, she follows him... and starts a series of complications.

Fiederbusch dons the official robes of an assessor, receives a report from Prince Adolar, who appears with a suburban woman, about a stolen piece of jewelry, and locks the nobleman up...

Teresa is a young, always cheerful woman, who has a harmonious marriage with the writer Peter Duhren. Unfortunately, it’s so harmonious, that he’s uncapable of writing a novel. So he decides instead to write a book about his own marriage. Teresa is so horrified about this indiscretion, that she asks for a divorce. Peter is prepared to withdraw the book from circulation to save his marriage, but when he finally is about to do so, it becomes a bestseller. Despite attempts at reconciliation, Teresa leaves his. So much for the alleged ‘harmonious’ marriage.

Vienna is celebrating New Year’s Eve 1913/14. It is the year, which will see the outbreak of the First World War. In Hotel Sacher, the mood is excellent; and although the political atmosphere is charged, there’s an undercurrent of hate and intolerance in the air. It is with this background that Nadja, a Russian spy, meets the Austrian civil servant Stefan. He loves her, but comes under suspicion of being an agent because of this love.

As the son of a fashion house owner in Zurich, Hans Haberland apparently can offer his lovers any article of clothing, for which they're willing to sell themselves. His current girl-toy Lizzie wants this fantastic, sky blue dress -- but it's that dress exactly, which his father has just sold to a business buddy in Berlin. Oh, the shortages and traumas of war one has to put up with!

The young fashion illustrator Jeanette meets the chief engineer Rudolf Siebert at an artists' festival in Schwabing, but thinks he is the talented but poor painter Braubach, whom she admires and would like to support. The spoiled Siebert is happy to put up with this. This is a completely new life for him. He wants to continue playing this role, and so Braubach has to play the chief engineer in his place. But then the unsuspecting Jeanette learns the truth. She feels betrayed and is deeply hurt. Now Rudolf Siebert has to convince them that he started the game with the best of intentions and that he wants to bring it to a happy end with their help. Will she believe him?
