Aladdin, zamanını Agrabah şehrinde pazardan yiyecek çalarak geçiren fakir bir gençtir. Gecelerini, şehrin farklı bölgelerinde uyuyarak geçirirken, gündüzlerini ise hırsızlığa ayırmaktadır. Ancak yaşam tarzına rağmen aslında Aladdin'in altın gibi bir kalbi vardır. Onun macerası, tuhaf babası tarafından zorla evlendirilmeye çalışılan bir genç kızla tanıştığı zaman başlar. In a typically mixed Baghdadi neighbourhood in 2006, a community of ordinary people try to live their everyday lives amidst the threat of unpredictable violence.
