Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.

Golden Dream is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by Rede Globo. It ran from September 27, 1993 to May 14, 1994. It was written by Marcílio Moraes and directed by Reynaldo Boury, with co-direction by Roberto Naar. The action takes place in the city of Curitiba. It was also broadcast in Portugal.

The plans of the young couple Daniel and Clarice are thwarted by Vitor Lopo Jr. He orders the kidnapping of the couple's newborn daughter, Mariana, who ends up living with Pestana and Elza—a pair who have kidnapped other children as well. Eventually Carlos finds out later that Maria lied to him about her past and he starts fearing the worst. In the end, Carlos finds out that Maria is his sister. He informs her that they are siblings and that they cannot live like this anymore. Carlos, to forget his tragedies, goes for a trip around the world.
