Corazones al límite is a Mexican telenovela about a teenage girl named Diana who was emotionally neglected from her parents, and felt unwanted. After being expelled from her boarding school in Switzerland, Diana goes back to live with her parents.

The story revolves around four beautiful 21-year-old girls who come from different social strata. The first of them, Laura, is a middle-class girl, serious, sensitive and studious, who can study computer science at a private university because she won a scholarship. There he meets Jimena de la O, daughter of a millionaire businessman. At first, there will be a lot of friction between the two, but little by little a strong bond of friendship will form between them. Jimena is the typical rich, dissipated and irresponsible girl, for whom promiscuity, alcohol and drugs have marked her life since her mother died.

María José is a simple small-town woman eagerly awaiting her wedding day to Alejandro Lombardo, unaware that her “Alejandro” is actually Bruno—the half-brother of the real Alejandro—who has inherited a vast fortune.

At the close of a special day, family ties are shown to be fragile before the shared feeling concerning an important abscence when the sensation of absence. Uncle Manuel, a very peculiar man is determined to help his sibling's adolescent children and his brother-in-law, an unemployed union leader. Mom's house has now become a place where the family could vanish due to a world of broken dreams.
