A newlywed man who has just completed his national service, Alekos Stathakis, is trying to get over his class' misery, but doesn't have the necessary "equipment". He conceives an ambitious plan and submits it to a great concrete factory. He seems to believe that success is just around the corner and shares his illusion with his wife and his father. When his plan is rejected by the company, he keeps it to himself, making things even worse. He keeps leaving home to seemingly go to work and wanders to no purpose in Athens. Elsa and her husband Alkis vacation with their friend Vera in Nafplio, where Elsa's former love, Markos, is imprisoned. Years ago, Markos, a poor man, was framed for a crime by Alkis, leading to his imprisonment. Now, with Markos released and Alkis involved with Vera, old secrets resurface, and Elsa must confront her past and follow her heart.

Lena, Alexis and Manolis are ready to run with the money of a bogus company they had founded, when Lena discloses the secret to her childhood friend Dimitris. Alexis and Manolis decide to take him along, in their small private plane. They will land in a deserted spot and try to kill him, while Lena escapes with the plane, which she throws to a swamp along with the money it carries. The people from a lighthouse nearby apprise of the situation and try to get the plane out of the swamp, hoping the money will change their fortune.

At some point, he loses control of his car, crashes, and is slightly injured. Aphrodite, a 20-year-old girl who lives with her father in isolation in this deserted area, rushes to help him. They take him in, and a tender relationship develops between them, which will inevitably go through many trials and adventures, as Alexis is hiding a big secret from her...

The film is inspired by the epic poem, "Astrapogiannos", of the Greek poet, representative of the Heptanese School, and politician, Aristotelis Valaoritis, and refers to the life of Lambetis, the son of Astrapogiannos.
