11 Eylül saldırıları sonrasında geçen filmde, askeri bir kahraman olmak isteyen Ned (Michael Angarano), ailesi ve yeni arkadaşı Tally (Melissa Benoist) ile birlikte kendini, yanlış yönlendirildiği bir macerada bulur. Mistaken for Strangers follows The National on its biggest tour to date. Newbie roadie Tom (lead singer Matt Berninger’s younger brother) is a heavy metal and horror movie enthusiast, and can't help but put his own spin on the experience. Inevitably, Tom’s moonlighting as an irreverent documentarian creates some drama for the band on the road. The film is a hilarious and touching look at two very different brothers, and an entertaining story of artistic aspiration.

Set against the backdrop of a major drug cartel bust, the series follows two low-level cops who have spent far too much time in a car together, two criminals who are largely kept in the dark, two dispatch workers who haven't really clicked and two Mexican tunnelers who are in way too small a space considering they've only just met.
