Pastor Stefan Book once again has his hands full in his parish in St. Pauli: he has only just managed to talk the mentally distressed sexton Eddi out of attempting suicide when he learns that 16-year-old confirmation student Paloma and her boyfriend Winni, who is the same age, are expecting a child. As Paloma is still living with her alcoholic mother, the youth welfare office would prefer to give the baby to foster parents as soon as it is born. But Pastor Book fights to ensure that the two teenagers can take responsibility for their child despite the adverse circumstances.

Orhan, who is ten years old, comes to Vienna from a small Village in Anatolia. 16-year old Jan is absent-mindedly strolling through the streets when he's run over by roller-skating Nina. As fast as she has stormed into his life, however, she rushes off again. Nina is 15 years old and full of crazy ideas. She lives together with her brother, her father and his new girlfriend. Her mother isn't in touch much. That's why there is the unconventional Angel whose own daughter disappeared years ago and who is Nina's best friend and substitute mother.

Stefan Book is Pastor of the Hamburger St. Pauli Church for Schanze, Karo and Kiez. He sees it as his life's task to devote himself to the fallen and stranded. In view of the flight of the young, deportation-threatened African Adoma Fauré into his church, the chummy clergyman proves to be a serious opponent of asylum policy. The fate of the girl allows him to fight for the girl's residence permit without fear of authorities or sanctions of the municipal board. Book grants her church asylum and reaches the limit of its legal possibilities.

FRAGILE is the story of a woman who is killed in a car crash and is given one day more to spend with the people she loves. FRAGILE is a short parable about the things we often take for granted until they are gone, like friendship and love from those that are close to us. It is a film about the precious gift of life, and the fragility of our existence. Death, its imminence and certainty despite our efforts to deny it, is examined in a meditative manner. FRAGILE entertains by means of serious reflection and lyrical contemplation.

Polizeiruf 110 is a long-running German language detective television series. The first episode was broadcast 27 June 1971 in the German Democratic Republic, and after the dissolution of Fernsehen der DDR the series was picked up by ARD. It was originally created as a counterpart to the West German series Tatort, and quickly became a public favorite.

Ein Fall für zwei is a German television series, which premiered on September 11, 1981 on ZDF. The series, located in Frankfurt am Main, features two main characters who solve crimes: a defense attorney and a private investigator. Josef Matula, a former German police officer, has gone into private business. His method of investigation is very effective and direct, and he sometimes even resorts to dirty tricks. Claus Theo Gärtner has portrayed the role since the start of the series.

The first German Revolution did not break out in Berlin in 1848, but in the state of Baden. Little is known about the reasons why the Baden Revolution and its seemingly within-reach dream of unity, freedom, and democracy ultimately failed to come to fruition. The desperate struggle of the Baden folk hero and poet of freedom, Andreas Lenz, clearly shows the difficulties of implementing profound changes in a society.

Individual films focus on the themes of individualization and the rise of consume culture as well as the political shift of the dominating social democratic forces from a blue-collar party to more market oriented policies.
