Filmed like a documentary, "Sevillanas" consists of eleven short performances by Spain's most famous flamenco dancers, singers and guitarists. Saura, well-known for his flamenco films ("Blood Wedding," "Carmen"), here provides an in-depth look at the Sevillanas form of flamenco and its dancers.

A daughter sets out to find out the truth about the man who was her father, a legendary musician, who died when she was 8 years old. He is Antonio Flores, and she the also famous actress Alba Flores. Alba stopped singing when she lost Antonio and is now determined to recover her voice and her background, asking family members and friends for the first time.

Caravan of gypsies sets up camp outside an old-style Mexican hacienda.

Carmela is a Gypsy singer who sells lottery tickets. She meets two penniless Mexican brothers and they buy a ticket between the three: if it is awarded, could share the prize and go to Mexico, they to return to their homeland and her for bullfighter boyfriend whom has no news. The fate accompanies them, but, on reaching Mexico, her boyfriend rejects her. This way, she ends up acting in a cafe where reaps many successes.

This non-fiction series on the life and career of Lola Flores is built on the testimony left to us by her daughters, her sister, her friends, her researchers and many of today's artists of various kinds who have been influenced by his art as Rosalía, Miguel Poveda, C. Tangana or Ara Malikian (among many others).
