Hermann works at NATO headquarters in Brussels and is only home on weekends. He is quite a male chauvinist. That is why his wife Merete has not told him that she has pursued a career in the army and become a lieutenant. After a stay in a sanatorium due to violent behavior during an arrest, Detective Karl Jørgensen is transferred to the fraud department. Here, Karl discovers a case involving his ex-wife and her new husband. When Karl begins to investigate the case, he is stopped by the police chief. Karl teams up with journalist John Bullnes. They gradually get closer to the truth, but are stopped when a suspect commits suicide. Karl is suspended and Bullnes is sent to Berlin on an assignment. Karl then takes the case into his own hands and arrests the city's mayor and a major contractor.

Arntsen takes things and people around him too seriously, and has therefore been awarded a disability pension. And he is not exactly clairvoyant either. But that may come, and often with female help from, for example, Vaskemutter, for whom he does the laundry, or Mette, who has her own problems and accepts him as he is – even without clothes.

In a dilapidated little apartment in Vesterbro, Mrs. Knudsen lives with her incompetent and petty criminal son Arnold. A prisoner who has just escaped from prison finds the body of Jensens, a marshal, in Jensens' shop. Fearing that he will be suspected of murder, he moves the body in a trunk to a forest, where it is to be hidden. On the way, he loses the trunk from his cart and Jensen from the trunk. Immediately afterwards, another gentleman runs over the body, hides it in the back of his cart, wants to bury it, etc.

The series follows the residents of an apartment building on Copenhagen's Christianshavn, as they go about their daily lives and challenges. There is Olsen, a mover with an old fashion view of the world, Clausen who runs the local pet shop, Egon the career focused assistant, their wives who work hard to keep their spouses lives together, the young couple Tue and Rikke who recently moved in, the hard working caretaker Meyer, who never puts in to much effort, and of course Emma, the innkeeper of Rottehullet, where all the important decisions are made while running up the bar tab. The series was produced by Nordisk Film for Danmarks Radio TV station between the years 1970-77. The series' first director was Ebbe Langberg, then Erik Balling and Tom Hedegaard respectively. The series was conceived by an author team of well-known Danish authors such Leif Panduro, Benny Andersen, and Lise Nørgaard.

A road movie that tells the story of two very different young women, Charlot and Charlotte, who meet by chance and end up driving together across Denmark from Copenhagen to Skagen. Along the way, they meet a wide range of very different people, from the senile Birksted to the psychopathic mass murderer Poul-Teddy, to a theater troupe and the elderly residents of a nursing home run by a headstrong matron. The naive and provincial Charlotte learns spontaneity from the smart city girl Charlot, while Charlot, in turn, learns from Charlotte to appreciate the experiences close to home.

One Big Family is a Danish television series in 12 episodes, first broadcast in 1982-1983. The series was directed by Bent Mejding, while the script was written in turns by Lise Nørgaard, Paul Hammerich and Jane Aamund. The series is produced by Nordisk Film for Danmarks Radio.
