Amerikalı bir mühendis olan Kyle Lord ve eşi mutlu bir hayat sürmektedirler. Ancak mutlulukları karısının tecavüze uğrayıp öldürülmesiyle birlikte son erer. Polisin ihmali ve delil yetersizliği nedeniyle karısının katili serbest bırakılır. Kyle, katili öldürür ve ömür boyu hapse mahkum edilir. Cezasını çekeceği hapishane her türlü pisliğin yer aldığı korkunç bir yerdir. Hapishane müdürü, mahkumları 'Sparka' denilen bir dövüşe zorlamaktadır. Bu, general ve arkadaşlarının sırf kendi eğlenceleri için düzenledikleri bir tür bahis oyunudur. Kyle da zamanla bu dövüşlere katılmaya başlar.

Cold follows the intertwining lives of residents in a small border village in the Tran region during the late 20th century. The story unfolds across four episodes set in different periods: three winter stories following a group of villagers who meet at their local pub, and a final spring chapter. Spanning 1968 to 2000, the film traces the gradual depopulation of the village, culminating in its total abandonment.

Two trains uncontrollably move towards each other within temporal boundaries of a human life. "Güve", yirmi yıl hapis yattıktan sonra özgürlüğüne kavuşur. Yeni ve yabancı bir dünya olan 60'ların komünist Sofya'sında kendi benliğini bulmaya çalışır. Bir günde olanları anlatan filmde, "Güve" geçmişiyle barışmaya çalışır, ancak işkence görür, kovalanır ve gün boyunca ajanlardan, doktorlardan, bar kuşlarından, serserilerden ve mezarcılardan pek çok hikâye dinlemeye zorlanır.

In a small village where nothing has changed in the last few decades, a film crew arrives to shoot a historical drama. So, along with actors, producers, makeup artists and all the rest from the crew, a lot of hustle and bustle rushes into the sleepy village. It turns into a historical battle field itself. Everybody gets involved in the action - the young and the old alike get dressed into period costumes and armed with fake swords, suffer deadly wounds. The script also features an episode of ritualistic sacrifice and the offering is to be the village farmers' pride, a bull called Julius Caesar. The armies of defenders and enemies of the ritualistic animal clash at such an epic scale that it does feel like a massacre took place. As they say, blind Saturday is upon us and people do lose their minds...

Volunteer girls come to the village. They will help to harvest the crop. The girls are dressed in fashion, behave provocatively. Four village men want to demonstrate their qualities. The mechanic pretends to be an athlete, the teacher plays love sketches that he watched in the movies. The vet flirts clumsily, and the doctor decides to go to Africa. The girls leave. Calmness and boredom come to the village.

At the end of the 18th century in Bulgaria under Ottoman slavery, a young woman leaves home and family to become leader of a guerrilla gang.

In hopes that they can help each other, a psychiatrist arranges for a suicidal young man and a terminally ill woman to meet.
