Brechtvari bir anlatım tarzıyla filmde zaman bir ileri bir geri sıçrar durur. Yunanistan'ın en eski tarihi (bir anlamda mitoloji) ile yakın tarihi (1939 - 1952 arası) arasındaki zamanda gidip gelmeler tiyatro aracılığıyla yapılır.
