The show was broadcast "in living color" beginning in fall 1965, the second season, and was shot entirely in California and Kanab, Utah.

The Ed Sullivan Show is an American TV variety show that originally ran on CBS from Sunday June 20, 1948 to Sunday June 6, 1971, and was hosted by New York entertainment columnist Ed Sullivan. It was replaced in September 1971 by the CBS Sunday Night Movie, which ran only one season and was eventually replaced by other shows. In 2002, The Ed Sullivan Show was ranked #15 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.

Alfred Hitchcock presenta (Alfred Hitchcock Presents) è una serie televisiva statunitense creata da Alfred Hitchcock. In Italia era conosciuta con il titolo di Hitchcock presenta Hitchcock. La caricatura di Hitchcock che compare nei titoli è stata realizzata dallo stesso Hitchcock. La serie non ha una trama lineare, né personaggi fissi, ma tutti gli episodi hanno un elemento in comune: il crimine, che viene perpetrato a volte nelle forme più inimmaginabili e grottesche. Lo stesso Hitchcock ebbe a dire, riguardo alla serie: «Essa riporta il crimine in casa, dove esso risiede».

A causa delle sue vertigini, l'agente Ferguson è a riposo per non aver impedito un incidente mortale a un collega. Un amico gli chiede di sorvegliare sua moglie, che ha manie suicide. Di fronte a Ferguson, paralizzato dalle vertigini, la donna si butta da un campanile, o almeno così crede il povero agente. Ma un giorno un incontro casuale rimette tutto in gioco.
